Börsenradio | Uwe Eilers, CEO of Frankfurter Vermögen, in conversation with Peter Heinrich

‘Well, Deutsche Telekom used to be called the people’s share. That’s why I’m very sceptical about such terms. Often the hype surrounding superlatives such as world share signals a danger. Something similar happened with the hydrogen sector two years ago and with the Neuer Markt in 2000, which was also heavily hyped and gave rise to many concepts with great terms that changed the world.’ – Digitisation can be learned from Latvia and Estonia: ‘The basis is the ID card, i.e. the identity card, which is in card form. Almost everything can be done with it. You can use it to log in to all local authorities or state services to order ID cards, get married or get divorced. You can do all sorts of things there. The only thing you have to do in person is pick up your ID card in person or sign for the divorce yourself on site or the wedding. But apart from that, everything really is digitalised,’ says Uwe Eilers.
