Radio report: Investment strategies by Uwe Eilers: From ‘oak’ to ‘bamboo’ – ‘India and Japan attractive!’

Oak, beech, birch, fir and bamboo. The investment strategies of ‘Frankfurter Vermögen’ resemble a well-tended mixed forest.

From slow-growing, solid and manageable risk to fast-growing commodities with a sporty risk profile. ‘Oak currently means 20% equities and 80% bonds,’ says CEO Uwe Eilers, recognising that it is now possible to generate attractive bond yields in the new world of interest rates. The fundamentally global approach is also important. ‘Japan and India are attractive from our point of view. Japan is favourable and India has overtaken China in terms of growth. China is not politically solid enough for us.’
